One dead, three injured after crash near Oilton

OILTON - On Saturday, March 23, a fatality crash occurred just after midnight near the intersection of SH-51 and S 549th West Ave, northwest of Oilton. According to a report by Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) Trooper Hayden Finley, Daylon Robertson, 22, of Fairfax, was driving a Ford Mustang westbound on SH-51, and Ethan Tillotson, 20, of Moore, was driving eastbound on SH-51, when Robertson crossed the center line.

Traffic shifts on SH-97 at US-412 in Sand Springs

Tra$ c will be shifted on north and southbound SH-97 at US-412 in Sand Springs beginning Monday, March 25, as part of an ongoing project in the area. During this phase, the turn lanes will be closed, but tra$ c will still be allowed to turn onto US-412.

Thousands compete in Mid South

Over 2,500 athletes from all over the world gathered in Downtown Stillwater this past weekend to participate in the 11th annual Mid South Bike Race, formerly known as The Land Run 100. "We are not here for a bike race," Mid South director and owner of District Bicycles in Downtown Stillwater, Bobby Wintle said to the crowd of cyclists at the start line Saturday morning.

Creek County March 5 election results

Presidential Preferential Primary elections were held on March 5 along with two City of Oilton propositions in Creek County. Unocial results from the Oklahoma State Election Board show voters in favor of both Oilton propositions by a narrow margin. Presidential candidates saw a much larger margin of votes.
