Cushing, Drumright, Yale, Agra, Mannford, Oilton, Olive, Ripley… If your school, church, club, sports team, association, organization or non-profit group is holding an event, fundraiser, or even just a regular meeting, let us know so we can let everyone else know. ANNOUNCEMENTS

Yale- Due to a recent resignation there is an open seat on the Yale City Commission. If you have any interest in serving on the City Commission please call the City Clerk or City Manager at 918- 387-2405. Requirements to serve on the Board are being a City of Yale resident living inside city limits for a minimum of one year and also being a registered voter.

Drumright- Drumright City Hall will be closed starting Nov. 23. Utility bills can be paid online, over the phone or through the drop box.

Yale- City Hall and the Police Department will be closed to the public for precautionary safety concerns. Payments can be made over the phone, online, by mail or left in our dropbox. In person business can be handled by appointment. You can reach City Hall at 918-387-2405, dial 0 for the front office or to make a payment. You can reach the Police Department at 918-387-2403.

Yale- The Christmas parade and Winter Wonderland is scheduled for November 29 at 5 p.m. The parade will again be on Main Street and the Winter Wonderland will be held on the empty lot at the NE corner by the flagpole downtown.

Oilton- Oilton Christmas in the park will be held on Saturday, November 29. The parade will start at 5:30 p.m. and the lighting of the Christmas tree will be at 6:15 p.m.

Yale- The sisters of Xi Delta Pi regret to announce that we are unable to provide our annual Children’s Christmas Angel Tree. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing restrictions we were unable to safely fundraise for this project as we did not want to risk the health and safety of our sisters and our community. Please respect our decision and be safe. God bless!

Creek County- The Creek County Democratic Party is continuing its scholarship program. The scholarship competition is open to all graduating seniors who 1) are residents of Creek County and 2) are either registered Democrats or have at least one parent or guardian who is a registered Democrat in Creek County, Oklahoma. Public school, private school, or home-schooled students are welcome to apply. The scholarships can be used at any accredited trade school, vocational school, or institution of higher education. Details are available on our Facebook page, Creek County Democrats. Applications can be obtained by emailing CreekCountyDemocratScholarship@ gmail.com, or by calling Lynne Belcher at 918- 247-6674. Applications are also available from all county high school counselors. Applications must be postmarked no later than March 1, 2021, to be considered. The awards will be presented in April.

SPORTS

Drumright- Drumright Public Schools Gym Protocol for basketball

1. The gym will be at reduced capacity for fans.

2. Tickets will be pre-sold ONLY. No tickets will be sold at the gate.

3. 60 tickets will be sold to home fans

25 tickets will be sold to the visiting team

20 tickets will be sold to students

4. Fans must sit in the designated area.

5. Masks will be required upon entry and when up to go to the restrooms or concession stand. Masks may be removed while seated as long as social distancing is observed.

6. Congregating in the foyer will not be permitted. Social distancing will be required in the concession stand line.

7. Temperatures will be taken at the door.

8. Tickets will be given out ahead of time, and must be presented at the door. We will offer tickets to parents of athletes first and the general public only if there are available spots. We will make every effort to work together as the Tornado family to make sure parents are able to see their kids compete. There will be a boys JV game, Varsity girls game, and Varsity boys game on high school game night and a 6th grade boys game, Middle School Girls game and Middle school boys game on middle school game night. Our goal is to clear the gym between games and allow those with tickets to each game, enter to make sure that each group of parents are able to watch their child.

Yale-Yale Indoor Sport COVID-19 Policies for the 2020-2021 basketball season.

Yale Schools will require everyone, school age or older, entering the gym to wear a face-covering until they have reached their seats. This includes the lobby, restrooms, and concession areas. Please be respectful of other spectators and social distance from those who prefer to wear masks at all times. Spectators that have purchased reserved seating will have priority when it comes to selecting seats. We ask visiting fans and team members to sit on the Visitor’s (east) side of the gym. Please remember that these events are about the students, and we all want to see our hard-working, student-athletes compete.

Oilton- Oilton Public Schools Gym Protocol for basketball

1. Masks will be required through the door and when leaving your seat for concession or bathroom.

2. Temperatures will be taken upon entrance.

3. Bring your own warm-up balls.

4. Sit in your own designated seating areas. Home will be on the south side of the gym and visitors on the north side.

5. We will sanitize game balls between quarters. We will have two game balls per game.

6. Teams will be asked to park, enter and exit through the south doors. Temperatures will be taken.

7. Staff, coaches and referees only on the stage/clock keeping area.

8. Concession will be fully stocked until we run out no restocking will occur. Staff will wear masks and gloves and only one person will handle money nightly.

9. We will have the concession lines marked for social distancing and we will only use the far left doors for entering and exiting the gym.

Yale- Yale Chamber of Commerce meets the third Thursday of every month, at noon, for lunch.

Oilton- 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The Flea and Farmers Market is the third Saturday of each month at 115 E 4th St in Oilton.
