CUSHING — A Drumright resident was recently charged with child neglect, unlawful possession of a controlled drug, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia following his arrest by a Payne County Sheriff’s Department member in Cushing.

OILTON — On Saturday, April 27, Dusty Bryant, 31, of Oilton, was driving a 2015 Polaris Razor on West 6th St. and West Westwood Ave. about one half mile west of Oilton according to a report by Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Brown.

KEYSTONE - On Sunday, April 21, an ATV crash on Motorcycle Island resulted in both driver and passenger being hospitalized according to a report by Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) Trooper Romulus Gregory.

The Creek County Board of Commissioners approved using American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding for a series of road repaving projects in District 2. District 2 Commissioner Leon Warner said each Commission district received about $500,000 to use for road and bridge projects, and he is using about $360,000 for four road repaving projects.

The 2023 Harley Davidson was driven by Sammy Reece, 50, of Sand Springs.
