The Drumright Tornado eight-man football team struggled with turnovers Thursday when they hosted the Regent Prep Rams, and lost 18-70.

“Regent was just too strong for us offensively and we continue to make too many costly turnovers,” said Tornado Head Coach Neal Bacon. “We set Regent up for four shortfield scores. We just have to cut down on our mistakes.”

Despite the struggles, the Tornado offense was able to make a statement and get on the board.

We continue to move the ball,” said Bacon.

Travian Hall led the way on offense with eight carries for 103 yards and a touchdown.

Dakota Weir had three carries for 84 yards and two touchdowns.

Kevin Gooch carried the ball eight times for 21 yards.

“In the air Weir completed a pass to Kadin McBride for 33 yards and a big first down,” said Bacon.

The 3-4 Tornados will host the 3-4 Depew Hornets this Friday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m.
