Tornadoes Return to Oklahoma in March

April 1, 2024 NORMAN - Oklahoma's weather was mostly lamb during March, although it did have its lion moments. The state experienced only one true outbreak of severe weather, but that single event on March 14 was significant nonetheless with two confirmed tornadoes in McIntosh and McCurtain counties and hail greater than softball size in Ada.

At the beginning of the baseball season, the Drumright Tornadoes were 2-3, but they have since won eight out of their last nine games. Monday, they travelled to Stroud and won 16-3.

Sandites second in Bruin Classic last week

baseball team has won five of its last six games after sweeping Bartlesville 6-1, 1-0, Monday and Tuesday; taking down Ponca City, 9-2, and Enid, 5-2, on Thursday. But Good Friday was not good for the Sandites and they lost to the Sapulpa Chieftains, 4-6, in the title game on Friday to settle for runners up at the Bruins Classic.

Sand Springs driver hit by motorcycle in Tulsa

TULSA — On Saturday, March 30, a motorcycle driver crashed into a pickup truck driven by a Sand Springs resident on OK-51 just west of Peoria Ave. in Tulsa according to a report by Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) Trooper Chad Duarte.

MANNFORD - The Mannford Lady Pirates dropped their first two games of the season, then invited the Tulsa Central lady Braves to an old-fashioned thrashing Tuesday and destroyed them 10-0. Next week, the Lady Pirates will host McLoud in their district opener, then they will travel to Ft.
